Summer is Here!




I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits as we close another school year. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for your incredible efforts during this past year. Your dedication to the development of Maryland's Blueprint Implementation Plan, high quality professional development opportunities provided to staff, and the piloting and successful adoption of new curriculum has and will make an indelible impact on the education system in Wicomico County. We certainly have learned that our favorite number is 4.

Your role as instruction supervisors is pivotal in shaping the educational experience of countless students, and your commitment to excellence has been truly commendable. The FY 22-23 marked a crucial phase in writing an initiating first steps to the implementation of our Blueprint Plan, and it is thanks to your unwavering support and leadership that we have achieved remarkable progress toward our initiatives already. We are providing our students with many additional opportunities in Dual Enrollment coursework, CTE programs, intervention, and apprenticeships. WE also look forward the seeing how the new Career Coach positions will help point our students in the right direction for their future.

Your tireless efforts in organizing and facilitating professional development opportunities for teachers have empowered them with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality instruction. I thank each of you for sharing the results of the teacher feedback you gathered during these sessions. By equipping educators with the tools they need to excel in their classrooms, you have played a vital role in fostering an environment of continuous growth and improvement.

Additionally, many of you developed plans to pilot much needed resources and curriculum. Thanks you your hard work we successfully adopted each of these resources that were presented to the new Board members. These new resources will be instrumental in enhancing the learning experience for our students. By staying at the forefront of educational priorities, you have ensured that our schools provide the best possible education, equipping students with the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive in the modern world.

Your collaborative spirit and dedication to the betterment of education in Wicomico County are truly inspiring. The impact of your work extends far beyond the classroom walls, shaping the lives of students and preparing them for a brighter future. Your passion for education is evident in every decision you make and every effort you undertake.


I look forward to using this blog to share brief leadership moments with our department. At times I may ask you to contribute your thoughts in a blog post as well. You each bring such a unique set of skills, knowledge and talents I'd love for you to share those with our team.

In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your exceptional service and commitment to excellence. Your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I am grateful for the positive changes you have brought to our district. I am fortunate to work with such an exceptional team of instructional supervisors guiding our educational journey.
